Antique Hand Painted Orthodox Icon, Mother Mary and Child; Greek Or Russian? I am uncertain about the country of origin. I do know that this icon is old, hand painted, and that the wood board beneath it appears hand cut. The icon is approximately 8” x 11”. Has all the normal wear and tear of a very old piece of religious art. The hanger on the back is a recent addition.
